Food and Goodie Bag Captain
Overview
The Food and Goodie Bag Captain makes our riders feel like rock stars. Well fed, pampered, rock stars. Together with their deputies and team of volunteers they assemble, prep, and distribute food and schwag.
Key Duties
- Work with staff to develop plans to:
- Get all goodie bags stuffed prior to event
- Transition volunteers from registration to food and goodie bags
- Ensure all food and goodie bags are handed out
- (With staff) Recruit 2-4 deputies
- (With Registration Captain) Lead training on food and goodie bags work, transition from registration
The Commitment
- Spring: attend captain kickoff meeting (date TBD), at least 1 early planning meeting
- Spring/Summer: contact potential deputies
- Summer (with Registration Captain):
- Plan transition from registration tables to food and goodie bags
- Lead 2 trainings for deputies and volunteers
- Saturday September 20: ~10 hours overseeing good bag stuffing
- Sunday September 21:
- 7am: assist with setup of plaza
- 8am: final check of goodie bags and food
- 9am-10am: (with Registration Captain) Lead transition from registration to food and goodie bags
- 10am-2pm: Oversee distribution of food, goodie bags, cheer returning riders
