Information Booth Captains (2)
Overview
The Information Booth Captains know the entire event inside and out. When a participant, an errant volunteer, or a random passerby has a question, they have the answer.
Key Duties
- Work with staff to learn the nitty-gritty details of the event
- Full schedule (for riders and volunteers)
- Directions to all plaza locations
- Routes and rest stops
- Food, water, parking, and first aid
- Help develop FAQ sheets for participants, volunteers
- Set up and staff info booth
The Commitment
- Spring: attend captain kickoff meeting (date TBD), at least 1 early planning meeting
- Summer: work with staff to write ‘participant FAQ’ and ‘volunteer FAQ’ sheets
- Sunday September 21:
- 6am – 7am: set up the booth
- 7am – 8am: answer any pre-ride questions
- 8am – 9am: direct late arrivals
- 9am – 10am (or whenever riders start returning): break
- 10am – 2pm: answer any questions in post-ride slower period (captains can take shifts)
