Registration Captain
Overview
The Registration Captain keeps us from being buried when 4,000 riders arrive the morning of the event. They choreograph the intricate dance that gets each rider the materials (number, map, etc.) he or she needs quickly and efficiently. With the help of their deputies and volunteers they transform the milling masses into a phalanx of ready to ride cyclists.
Key Duties
- Work with staff to plan the flow and set-up of registration
- (With staff) Recruit 2-4 deputies
- Lead registration trainings for deputies and volunteers
- Ensure that all forms and supplies are on hand at the event
- Make sure all registration tables are laid out properly
- Wander registration during the morning of the event to answer questions and deal with problems
- (With Goodie Bag Captain) Help lead transition to goodie bag/merchandise/food area

Spring: attend captain kickoff meeting (date TBD)
- Spring/Summer: Contact potential deputies
- Summer:
- Work with staff to plan registration flow and lay-out
- Lead at least 2 registration trainings
- Sunday September 21
- 6am – 7am: final check of registration area
- 7am – 9am: registration
- 9am – 10am: transition from registration to goodie bag/merchandise/food
- 10am – 2pm: help with goodie bags/merchandise/food
